Christopher Zimmer joined the Technology Integration (TechInt) group at ORNL as an HPC Systems Engineer in 2014. He was previously employed at Cisco Systems and worked on simulation based data plane and IO optimization. Christopher holds a PhD. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University where his work focused on real-time and high-performance message passing for network-on-chip processors. He also holds an MS in Computer Science from Florida State University where he researched architected register design to enable resource intensive compiler optimizations in register-constrained processors.
