As a member of the group's File Systems Team, Joseph is focusing on log analysis for storage system optimization. He is also a member of an ORNL/LLNL cooperative team developing the Exascale Computing Project's UnifyCR system, which is a checkpoint/restart file system for distributed burst buffers.
Prior to joining ORNL, Joseph initially worked for six years in the telecommunications industry as a Software Engineer and Systems Architect, before moving into computer storage systems. He was a software engineer for four years with LSI Storage Systems and then moved into the Software Architect role with that organization. When NetApp acquired LSI’s Engenio Storage Systems division in 2011, he joined the Advanced Development team within the newly-formed E-Series division of NetApp. He holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Wichita State University and an M.S. in Operations Research from Kansas State University.
